After several months of preparations as SOC, Miriam García has participated at the IAU Symposium 344: Dwarf Galaxies: From the Deep Universe to the Present that took place during the XXXth IAU’s General Assembly in Vienna.
She presented a poster and flash talk about «Dwarf Irregular Galaxies and Massive stars”.

Miriam García talks about Metal-poor Massive Stars in Mexico
Miriam García has been invited to talk about metal-poor, resolved massive stars at the conference Frontiers of the Physics of Massive Stars from the Main Sequence to LIGO. The symposium will be hosted by UNAM at Ensenada (Mexico), and will take place from July 16th to 20th, 2018.

“Tracing recent star formation in galaxy disks within the S4G survey” by A. Bouquin.
M. Garcia will be part of the committee of Alex Bouquin’s thesis defense (June 1st, 2018). The dissertation looks into the star formation history of nearby galaxies from a multi-wavelength, multi-diagnostic perspective.
