CAB logoCaptura de pantalla 2015-10-20 a la(s) 15.28.50

TA1 Planetary Field Analogues will offer access to well-characterized terrestrial field sites that have been selected so as to provide the most realistic analogues of surfaces of Mars, Europa and Titan, to which planetary missions have either recently been directed or are planned. They include desert, permafrost, acidic environment and hydrothermal sources.

Those sites rank from the very acidic Rio Tinto (Spain) environment to the very cold Iceland icebergs, including Ibn Battuta Center in Morocco and, now, two new sites have been included to the list. Recent studies have been done in Danakil depression (Ethiopia) and Tírez lagoon system in Spain.
